Ira, daughter of Bollywood star Aamir Khan, has been suffering from mental depression for four years. He said this on the World Mental Health Day on October 10.
Ira, 23, shared a video on her Instagram. He talked about his situation there. He also shared how to handle the case if it deteriorates.
“I’m exhausted,” he said. I consulted a doctor and was informed that I was clinically depressed. But now I’m fine. For over a year, I wanted to do something to raise awareness about mental health.
But I did not understand what to do. So I decided that what I needed to do was learn how to do it right—the story of my journey. Let’s see what happens. Hopefully, we can understand ourselves better.
Ira then writes, ‘Why should I be disappointed? What causes this fatigue? I have everything.
Like many others, Ira thinks that the more we care about the body, the less we care about mental health. Many also do not believe that if you are mentally exhausted, you can discuss it openly instead of sitting at home, or you should consult a doctor if necessary. Ira shared the video on Instagram to change that perception.
Ira is the youngest of two children in Aamir Khan’s first wife, Reena Dutt. Ira studied music. On the other hand, his brother Junaid worked with his father, Aamir Khan, as a movie assistant. Aamir is currently living with his second wife, Kiran Rao. Amir has an eight-year-old son named Azad in that house. Ira made her directorial debut last year.
