How To Create Custom Post Types With WordPress

Custom Post Types are one of the most useful features of WordPress. Particularly important when you love your blogging career so much. This will provide a great way to expand your preferred blogging platform through a complete content management system.

Here’s what I originally mean.

In general, WordPress always provides you with many built-in features for free. This is where you can see the most popular posts and pages. Under the post or under the hood, they give you a more reader-friendly way to tailor the entire content of your site.

I will now share with you two of the most classic examples.

  • You can always display content and use pages that change very rarely and always remains forever.
  • Use posts to publish entries in a piece of company news or blog post that may have expiration dates.

Or if you need more, you want to publish content that is not on a page or post.

This is a very useful medium that I will explain in this tutorial for you to share.

  • What are the types of custom posts,
  • How and when to use them,
  • And how to set up your WordPress custom post types.

There are the post attachment page and the navigation menu. Correction modification and navigation menus are not something that we need to discuss right now. That means we don’t need to discuss these three issues right now. These three things serve their purpose quietly in the background of WordPress, and that is why they do not require too much attention.

You can see posts and pages partying together in the WordPress dashboard.

From a technical point of view, they do the same thing, and the main difference between them is that custom posts can be accessed from your WordPress admin bar. And you can only see the post from the posts and only the pages from the dashboard.

In previous versions of WordPress, its settings options were a bit different but (since I am posting) WordPress has improved since this time. From previous reforms, we can assume that there was a classic content type available in WordPress until the new version came out.

It is now fully possible that menus will appear just below the posts and pages in the wp-admin sidebar, depending on the new content type. And most importantly, you’ll be able to work with that new aggregate type, just like posts and pages.

So the question is when to use your custom post types?

Of course, by the time you create one, custom post types can help you with many situations and overall types of content that you publish on the WordPress site. Most commonly any new custom post type is a good idea. Because you just want to start publishing something that needs to be avoided in posts and pages. In other words, you want to present something as your pages, not as a post.

Let’s give you a quick example.

For example, if you have ever run a book management website, you can probably use a custom post type called a book.

Here is a video for your convenience. The video actually shows this custom post type another plugin. Although the teaching method and the tutorial are the same.

Having a separate section for the book in the literature you manage will make it easier for your audience to distinguish reviews of that book’s name from the rest of your content. In addition, it will enable you to sort and review specific criteria for each book, such as the author or publisher.

Let’s see how to create a new custom post type in WordPress.

Ok, let’s see how There are two main methods for creating custom post types through WordPress software.

  • Manual method and,
  • Simplified method.

The second one to go through in this entire tutorial. That is the simplified method. In short, it will give you the same results as the manual method so you don’t need any coding skills.

The simplest way to create a WordPress custom post type.

As I said before, you don’t need any coding skills to do this, so we’re going to use a specific WordPress custom post type plugin for it. This is commonly called Easy Content Types.

Download Custom Post Type – Click On

To run it like most valuable WordPress plugins, all you have to do is download the plugin from this page and then install it your Wp-Plugins.

After installing, activate the plugin. Then you are ready to use the question type directly. And start using the plugin.

What you see here is the original dashboard or configuration page for your new custom post type. The one you want to create.

WordPress is described very well in each of its cases. So I don’t think there should be any problem setting up your stuff.

Then look at some examples:

  • Post Type Name: book.
  • Singular Label: Book.
  • Plural Label: Books.

You will see your custom post type option as soon as you click on the post type below. By clicking on it you choose an option or name and then click on Add Bottom and you’re done.

Here is my new custom post type.

You can see it on the menu at the bottom left of the post.

At this point, you can go to the custom post type that you created. And create a new post just as you creating any new post.

Now you add an example using your post type and see how it works.

make-a-post

I didn’t do much here. All I did was add a description of the primary book, such as the title, some quick descriptions, add a featured image and click on the Publish button.

I can now see all the glorious thoughts of this post by clicking on the link created by my book section.

I used a great featured theme on my site for what it looks like. Use your own theme that you like.

view-post-type

Looks pretty good, doesn’t it? Of course, it will be your choice.

Specifically, if you talk about this plugin, it doesn’t make you worry about any coding knowledge.

It takes care of all your content.

WordPress Taxonomy (Setting Taxonomies)

Standard categories and tags in WordPress are completely related to post and not necessarily to your new custom post type. Creating a new idea is just for those custom overall types. This is a good time to create a new WordPress taxonomy.

custom-Texonomies

This allows you to categorize your books in terms of potential use. You can put some of your books in different categories such as some books in fiction and others in different fiction categories.

Conclusion

Finally, you’ve seen a great way to add custom post types to your WordPress site. You can use these content types as you need and whenever you find yourself in a situation like this, create yourself for more posts and pages.

For example, as I did here, you can start publishing your own review product info movie rating or anything else that is interesting. This certainly fits your personal needs in use.

Keeping all these contents in mind, the simplest content types make it easy for custom posts to be available to everyone. If you can do custom posts correctly, you need to share this.
